Lori Jakubowski, the former accountant for a celebrity owned NY restaurant named Fresco by Scotto, embezzled $2.5 million over 7 years by stealing tips and cash, depositing business checks in her personal bank account, and unauthorized salary payments via 88 forged checks and money orders. Jakubowski also used her proceeds to buy a home in Pennsylvania and tried to cover her theft with false accounting entries.
