Bookkeeper Gets Booked
From May 2020 to May 2023, Amanda S. Robertson, a bookkeeper for a construction company, misappropriated over $1 million from her employer’s account. She was charged and pled guilty to six counts of wire fraud for making unauthorized electronic payments and issuing company checks to fund her personal businesses and expenses.
Robertson was sentenced to two years in prison and ordered to pay $1.4 million in restitution.
